Thursday 27th October 2011

Big Rays were abundant round the boat although reluctant to feed in fact four of these beauties were circling the anglers bait but NO takes. But we did land Five different species of these cautious specimens. Eagle, Blonde, sting and common Rays along with the beautiful butterfly rays.
In total 7 Rays and a surprise Turtle were caught and released along with the usual back up catches bream etc.
Leif Almstrand our oldest angler of the day had the surprise turtle ( age does not matter my friend).
Our Top lady angler of the day was Abel Heike from Germany.
Leifs Son Micheal, Olaf Weingart and Darren Chilcott supplied some of the different species of rays. Darrens Son kept us well supplied with the live bait.
WELL done to all today on your catches.

Christoipher and friend Heiko Nagele from Germany landed Rays ( Sting and Butterfly). Our Young angler is Janek Bock who took a Common Ray. Kimerley from Somerset fished with her Partner Steve and he told us he was a very unlucky fisherman SO we nicknamed him Jonah and yes it broke the spell as he took a nice size Sting Ray.One Huge Sting Ray was lost but thats fishing. Barracuda, Gallo (Bream) and silver fish were caught by all on light tackle.
WE use livebait for all our trips and the choice is yours if you want light tackle for spinning or catching Bream etc.

Wednesday 5th October 2011

Good fishing conditions at the start of the week were spoilt by strong currents. But on the brighter side there are plenty of wahoo showing for those anglers who want to troll for them. Marcel Aalbregt from Holland caught Wahoo and lost a Surprise Dorado of around 10kilos/25lbs, Bad Luck. Trolling on the way to the achor point one day we had 3 Wahoo strikes ( so they are showing well)Good Size Barracudas and Rays are there to be had once anchored. Craig Griffin from Greenock Scotland Toook AngelShark and Sting Rays whilst German Anglers Erik Schwarz Played an estimated Ray of 100kilos/220lbs.
Lets hope the currents abide for the rest of the week.
Well done to all on your catches big or small.
Check out some of the photos of the catches for Monday, Tuesday and Today.
