2 Blue Marlin

Tuesday 30th August 2011

Once again Blue Marlin have been raised by Dorado but luck has been on the side of of the Marlins. Eric our client watched as time after time the Marlin struck but once again it ended with the line billwrapped. The Fish shaking its head in an upright position threw the hooks. The 2nd Marlin came one hour later and entered the spread only to fade off without a hook up. Bad Luck for Eric and Crew.

Pasito Blanco Tournament

Sunday 28th August 2011

1st Day - saw around 15 fish raised but hookups were very scarce. The 1st 3 boats came from the 1st days all with 1 Blue Marlin . Dorado raised one of around 150 kilos but no positive outcome.
2nd Day - 10 fish raised none caught.
Our Bad luck continued on the 3rd day when at 9.45am we raised a Blue Marlin of approx 200 kilos it came 3 times to the spread and slashing at the lures like crazy only to fade off. Bad Luck to Pierre Merten from luxembourg our valued client. The 3rd day proved the same with no boats catching fish.
At the moment hook ups are hard although the Marlin are showing.
Congratulations to the 1st 3 boats. 1st Atlantis, 2nd Barakuda Dos and 3rd Nicklas Dos all with 1 fish ( time caught determined positions)

Good Luck to all those Boats and anglers fishing the Pasito Blanco Big Game Tournament , Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Not to be outdone Young Jorge had lots of bream and is seen pictured with his 40 kilos/85lbs Sting Ray. Well done to all on board the bottom fishing trip.

Friday 19th August 2011

Today we raised a Blue Marlin for a young angler who wanted to go for big fish. The Marlin came through the spread down the centre and took on one of the new lures we were trying. After jumping several times the fish threw the hooks (wrapped on the bill). But the sight of this incredible creature hosting itself out of the water more than made up for the disappointment. Very Bad Luck for this tyoung Angler.
We have heard that 5 Marlin have been raised today of which one was caught so lets look forward to next week and hope that this is the start of the Blue Marlin showing in bigger numbers ready for the Pasito Blanco Tournament at the end of the week and give our clients the chance of a fish of a lifetime.

4 Blue Marlin

Friday 5th August 2011

Well true to form we had an exciting day today although very frustrating. We decided a small change of tactics from the norm would give us that slight edge and it proved the right choice. WE Raised 4 Blue Marlin and had 3 hookups. 1st of the 4 came and pulled the clips taking line but was unfortunately had only hit the lure with the bill. 2nd Marlin of approx 200kilos/400lbs was played to the boat where it jumped and shed the hooks - Bad Luck Wolfgang. One hour later the 3rd and 4th Marlins took line and were billwrapped. To raise 4 Blue Marlin on any day would be incredible but the conditions make it exceptional because of all the boats trolling today only one other boat raised a Blue Marlin.
Good luck and Very Tight lines for tomorrow Wolfgang.

Big Blue Marlin 300kils/600lbs+

Wednesday 3rd August 2011

Big Fish are showing now and our clients Dutch Paul and son hooked up with a very Big Fish of 300kilos/600lbs plus. Pauls son opted to play the fish which put up a tremendous fight actually charging the boat. Roberto Captain spun the boat around to avert a collision course with this monster. We had the fish to the boat twice but out of range of the leader. The Marlin came alongside starboard and within an instant slashed out hitting the leader cutting the main line with its tail. Bad Luck for the Angler. On a positive note BIG FISH are showing (lots of mackerel shoals) and this is Good News for our clients who want that Dream Fish.
