4 BLUE MARLIN - for Dorado

Tuesday 2nd September 2008

What a Day for Dorado boat - so hears an account of the days events.
After loosing the 1st hook up with Diane Smith in the Chair due to being bill wrapped Dorado continued to circle the baitfish.
Within 30minuets there was what looked like an explosion amongst the lures. First the Short Rigger screamed off, 2nd the Flat Line Rod kicked over and on winding in The Long rigger yet another Blue Marlin took to the air. WOW TRIPLE HOOK UP. The anglers weaved in and out of each other trying to keep the lines apartand where succesful. ( thanks to Expert Crew) The 1st Marlin was played from the Chair and was within sight, then turnes right everyones nightmare as it could have cut off the 2nd fish but all was not lost and the Marlin then turned very vigoursly
left and slack line was inevitable and unfortunately Marlin Number 1 was Lost. The 2nd Blue Marlin was then transferred to the Chair with Angler Aaron Healey from Ireland . Aaron a Student +sales person played the fish Supberly to Tag & release. Meanwhile Dorthe Filtenborg from Denmark fought Marlin number 3 from The chair Holder. Dorthe always dreamed of catching a Blue Marlin since the age of 10years and had joined our trip by herself But the programme she watched as a child of 10years inspired her to stick at the task in hand and play this 100kilos/200lbs Blue Marlin to Tag & release.
Both Blue Marlin that were released and the 3rd from the triple Hook up which was in near sight of the boat were all extimated at 100/120kilos 200/250lbs.
WELL DONE DORTHE FILTENBURG FROM DENMARK for achieving her dream and AARON HEALY FROM IRELAND whos expression said it all. Bad Luck to Angler No.3 of the Triple Hook up and Also Diane Smith on the 1st Marlin of the Day.
WELL DONE TO CREW - Capatin Roberto and Paul and all on board who helped play their part in clearing the Lines.
CAVALIER - also had a hook up today with rod&reel flying from its holder Bad Luck as the fish was lost on the Run.
SOME PHOTOS ON THE GALLERY OF TODAYS ANGLERS.
